Hey All, I got an offer from Google for L4 Solutions Consultant, remote from Canada. They have offered Level 4 with a base of $120k CAD and 15% bonus with Sign on bonus of $12k CAD. Total Stock Options of $113k vesting in 4 years.

McKinsey & Company Any advice to help prepare for data science analyst role at top consulting firms (McKinsey & Company EY Boston Consulting Group etc)? Any materials, open source platform recommended to take on freelance data science project? When should I start actively looking and applying? I am a new grad who is working in tech as a marketing analyst I’m looking to pivot to marketing& sales data science consulting next year. Anecdotally, and at a different FANG company, I’ve heard solutions groups having a lower end TC and many want to jump into SWE roles because of that. I personally know a Solutions Architect who is going through this presently.
Google just had a round of layoff I believe? They’re probably trying to preserve their capital.
Are you trying to get Google on your resume to open more doors later?
If so, I’d recommend taking the job.
If not, and if you’re not unstable or looking to move, then no need to agonize over whether you’re low-balled or not.
