Hey all, so a few months ago, my manager identified some areas of improvement for me and put me on a “progress plan”, the caveat being that it wasn’t a PIP. It was only if I failed the “plan” I’d get put on one. Towards the start when there were missteps, they’d first get verbalized over a call and then committed to emails for “records” but since then when all my feedback has been largely glowing from other departments, stakeholders and him, they’d only get verbalized contd.

Keep receipts for yourself. Don’t depend on them to do it. When you get praise from them, put it in an email and send it over. Frame it as wanting to put it in writing to help them out with their workload. If they’re aligned on feedback, all they have to do is respond.

As for the praise you get in messages, start taking screenshots of them and saving them in a folder on your personal Google Drive. Also, save and note similar praise from other departments an clients.

For example, I have a Kudos folder in my email that allows me to drop in any email that praises my work as references for my end of year review.

with the promise that my manager would also commit to them on paper, but it hasn’t happened. I’ve reminded him time and again, but it just gets pushed. I have since been killing every project I’m on. Clients love my work, account teams love how I collaborate, and my ECD (boss) is also generally full of praise of my work on unofficial channels like Teams chats. Am I being paranoid? What would you do in my position?

How to deal with people flirting with you at work.
I’m married, and one of my coworkers flirts with me. Nothing super overt, but definitely not professional. We’re good friends and work together constantly because we’re on the same client, so I don’t want to make it awkward. Do I just do nothing and let it go? It is mostly just odd I’m not super offended, but I’m also clearly uninterested!
