So I would like to know how a typical day looks like for Data Engineers in the Big 4 consulting firms? How much of your time goes into handson work vs meetings or client calls? And what kind of projects or use cases do you usually handle.

I have one pro bono case that I kept when I left my firm to go in house. It’s a matter completely unrelated to my company and I have malpractice insurance through the nonprofit organization associated with the case. I’ve made clear to my client that I’m repping this client in my personal capacity. No one has asked me specifically about pro bono stuff at my company - if I know there’s no conflict of interest, is this something I should disclose? To whom should I disclose this?

Role offered - Either of Lead Solution Advisor / Senior Solution Advisor
Total experience is 6 years.
Please throw some light on what role is typically offered with 6 years of experience and what salary bracket is for both the designations.

YOE: 3.4
Current role: Consultant/Lead BA
CTC: 10.85 fixed +1.6 var

Deloitte's offer: 14 fixed +10% var + 1.5 JB
Role: Healthcare Consultant/BA

Cognizant's offer: 18 fixed +1 var
Same role

Haven't yet talked to Deloitte about counter offer, curious how much will they counter this with.

I wanna join Big4, but the difference in package is too much to just ignore.

I recently moved from a big4 to another and I'm still on my probation period. I'm looking to move out to industry and need your help with the following:

1. What should I tell to the interviewer, if he asks why am I looking to move out of a firm within a month?
2. What should I tell to my existing firm? If they ask me a reason for moving out?

Who else is reeling under the pain of taxes?

Have anybody come across cognizant retention? Will they release offer after Head approval and HR processing? And how long that the process take? Please share your exp if any and how much salry they matched with your offer?

Is it worth moving to western countries if you have a stable life in India and the household income is close to 3 lac per month?

Are all big 4s in India the same? Moved from US to India and the work in one of the Big4s for consulting is so bad!! Unstructured, lack of traction, superficial work done.. 🙄🙄 how does any work get done? The project didn’t achieve targets last yr and they’re still making same mistakes this year..🤦‍♂️
