Sounds about right for what’s essentially of a living room with a wall being used as a bedroom. Also 10x12 once you put a closet, bed and desk in is tiny.
Pro
That’s not considered tiny in Manhattan. Normal size.
My roommate’s room is 10’x12’ and he fit his full sized bed, desk, and drawers in okay. Room doesn’t feel that cramped. His closet is outside of his room which looks like yours would be too if one of the CL is accessible to you.

It’s a living room in a 1 bed with a fake wall at Stuy Town. $1650 for a room is normal pricing and it’s common to do in that building. Management provides that option.

This looks like a Stuyvesant town 1bed apartment that has had a temporary wall put into the living room making the “den”. The call it a “flex” apt.
The dining/living area is essentially now a windowless hallway b/c the living room was made into a bedroom

It’s definitely a Stuytown apt. Look at the link above and there’s a virtual walk through.
No - that price is totally within what’s expected. Whenever you share a bedroom, paying around $1400 - $2000 is roughly what you should be expecting.

You just have to go with your gut feeling. This looks very reasonable to me - enough to set up time with her to meet/ see the place.
Lol I wouldn’t say “too good to be true” or a scam, still extremely expensive to share with a roommate and having a semi-smallish bedroom. But with the prices the way that they are right now, you’re paying on the lighter end of the spectrum. I’d message and go see the place first.
