Any advice in terms of investment to save the maximum tax?

For rent paid below 1 lakh there is no need to submit landlord's PAN. I have calculated based on my HRA and if I show rent paid as around 96k my tax refund will be around 13k.

However there is no rent agreement or rent receipts.

Will it be a problem later on if I show this in my ITR?

However, there’s an opportunity to work at an Endowment Fund (Harvard/Yale/Stanford level). Would you recommend me to spend the next 3-4 years doing something that’s not directly VC related?
