I think for me my biggest trouble is dealing with bad actors. I think I just try to align myself with good people and friends at work for now.
You’re absolutely right—leadership that encourages open conversation and supports mental health is essential, especially in healthcare. Creating a space to vent and talk honestly about burnout can be a game changer. Sometimes, the best thing is just knowing someone’s truly listening and has your back.
Un necessary drama. Unaccountability from catered to young adults. Cliques. Running to Administrator as well as Directors to accuse veteran co workers of being rude" or " as the administrar called me, " a bitch". I would love to work at a place that requires accountability and respect for each employee.... but where?
Ugh, that sounds toxic! It's wild how some workplaces foster that kind of behavior. You deserve better—a place with accountability and mutual respect. Maybe a smaller, tight-knit environment or a company known for strong leadership values? They're out there—don’t settle for less!
I woud say look for a new job and move on. maybe consider travelling for a while local in your state or otherwise, whatever works for you.
That’s a solid idea! A change of scenery, even just a local getaway, can reset your mind. Plus, job searching while exploring new places sounds like a win-win. Sometimes a fresh start or a break is just what you need to reclaim your energy and peace of mind.
Honestly I have just been feeling extremely burned out lately. We are always short staffed which means I take on way too much and burn myself out. I have just been struggling with having better boundaries around work and not taking on more than I can handle.
I hear you, and that’s tough. It’s like trying to pour from an empty cup—it’s not sustainable. Setting boundaries feels selfish but is actually self-preservation. Maybe start small: say “no” when you need to, delegate when possible, and remember that self-care is a non-negotiable. You deserve to be okay too.
I definitely understand how you are feeling. I have been overwhelmed with work but I am coming to some sense of calmness right now. My biggest struggle is working with lazy people and the workload. My advice would be to seek a Therapist and start looking for other job opportunities. All these jobs want to do is burn the staff out. Good luck and I hope you find peace soon🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
You’re spot on. It’s frustrating when you’re pulling double the weight while others coast. Therapy is a great way to process all that stress, and exploring new job options can bring a sense of control. You deserve a workplace that values your effort, not one that drains it. Hang in there!
