Hi, Is it good to join Salesforce for Technical Consultant role (YOE - 3.2 years) ?
I checked with few of my connections, they saying I will be mostly allocated to Salesforce industries (Vlocity) project. Please suggest about the team structure and work life balance for this role.
and also in future, is it possible to apply for IJP in Salesforce ?
Please provide your thoughts on this.
Thanks

Same exact thing happened with me at PwC. My entire salary negotiation actually occurred on that call with the Partner… not sure if that’s normal but I ended up getting a higher title, base and sign on bonus.
Hmm yeah it seems like you’d want to do some research on what your expected compensation at EY is vs. what PwC is offering…. tbh not sure if it’s worth mentioning your upcoming raise because ideally your new PwC salary will be higher regardless.
If it’s not, you can always say something along the lines of “from my market research and conversations with people of my similar skills/background, I was looking for a target compensation of XXX base. Can you help make up this difference?” and then talk about how you bring value to them (probs reiterate the items the Partner likes about you). You want the conversation to be a collaboration. Close with saying that these items will make your decision from EY to PwC a lot easier. Remember, you have the power.
PwC has a cohort system so it’s not like there’s much flexibility, but there is still a range you can hit the upper bracket on. And if that’s not enough, you can compromise on a higher sign on bonus.

Don't want to ruin your moment. This almost never happens! 🤗
Um going to assume you meant uncommon…
This means you should negotiate hard on your offer
The partner wants to hire you — so you have bargaining power. It’s expensive and time consuming to interview people, so it’s a worst case scenario for the firm when a candidate declines an offer.
I’m sure other people have better strategies than me, but my go to is something like: “Can you do xyz amount? If so I’ll sign the offer right now”
