Has anyone interviewed with Amazon in the last 6 months. I finished my loop for a finance role. It’s been 8 business days and no update from the recruiter. I mailed the recruiter who said apologies for the delay but we will get back to you with next steps. Has anyone had this experience and what was the outcome Amazon

I have some good ex colleagues who moved over there and also looked up on LinkedIn and see lots of seemingly smart and accomplished people in their D&A team in the UK.
I'll ask my ex colleagues too, but wanted to see if people here have any opinion or information on this too.

I would go back to Deloitte and say you have another offer for £60k, they may be able to match it or get closer to it
👆🏻 this. You’re already towards the top of band, there’s nowhere to go from £50k.
With 4 YOE you should make SC soon which would give you a boost.
There’s a reason why Cap are buying people at the moment - the experience of working there isn’t great, from what I’ve heard
YOE?
4 YOE and a masters degree if that helps
I negotiated when moving internally from 46k to 50k so I'm sure you'll be able to
what role was that for?
I negotiated D's initial offer to match what CapG had offered me. In fairness, D had no option other than to match it because I had already accepted the Cap offer and I made it clear I wouldn't settle for 1p less.
Just under £63K base + standard allowance for SC. I was told this was top of the band (this was 6 years ago). At that point I think I had 4-5 YOE.
I joined D as an experienced hire with 7.5 YOE as a consultant on £50k and took a £5k pay cut. Based on my understanding £50k is in the top banding for a consultant grade, as ingrown consultants average on £41k. I understand ingrown SCs are on £50k.. so I wouldn’t say you’re getting a bad deal..
I understand that with that base salary as starting point in D, a promotion to SC should put your TC to about £60k excluding bonus after which point you could always go back to the market for more if that’s what you wish..
