What’s paid better at McK? Associate or Analyst?
McKinsey & Company Does level and/or office matter for referrals at McKinsey & Company? A friend is willing to refer at the Associate level in my target office though I did not get any traction w/ the referral last year. I'm a Veteran so I also recognize there may be a resume translation issue despite the prior version getting me interviews with BCG and Bain. I have updated the resume since - though still wondering if there's anything else I can do to strengthen my case. Thank you in advance for any advice.
Bain & Company I received an offer to join Bain & Company for SF office but due to family reasons, I will have to stay in the South Bay. Given Bain’s local staffing model, it will be challenging for me to commute to SF and back. Is it possible to be transferred to the palo alto office/is that office fully functioning or does it mainly serve as a hub for partners and research?

Associate is the post-MBA level. My understanding is that you can only come in at EM with significant experience matching the role.
It’s unlikely they’ll pay for it. Sometime they’ll pay for school for Associates or EMs but if you’re there less than a year first it’s unlikely. BAs have to be at the firm for over a year and a half before they’re eligible.
If turn down the offer now and do an MBA and reapply you’d still come in as an Associate. Although you may make it to EM in a year instead of 2.
We won’t pay for it
