I'm considering a career transition, but would like this community's insight. I'm mid 30s and have a family. I want 175K TC.
I have a 12+ YOE in Analytics, team management and process engineering with multiple small to mid size companies in multiple industries in the Midwest/Southeast. I have experience in systems management (Salesforce and D365), data management, developing technology roadmaps, and leading Enterprise software implementations.
Go consulting or stay industry? What's needed?
From what I’ve heard, you should expect not to do data science 😂
I joined EY as Data engineer recently and there is special practice within EY tech consulting for data analytics and AIML. The nature of role would depend on project needs. I recently got staffed on project where the client is building analytical platform for real time stream using spark and also utilizing ML techniques on data.
We have practice focused on light analytics like BI and AA for heavy modeling / ML. Depends on what are you actually interviewing for.
Np and good luck
