Last week on Wednesday i got call from Mumbai Capgemini HR for salary discussion and DOJ then after she said she will release my offer letter with in 3-4 days. But on 18th sept i.e Saturday evening I got a message from them asking for alternate email id and Phone number for creation of profile on CG portal. Now in how many days i should expect my offer letter? Anybody can help me out?

McKinsey consultants- I remember hearing that you have a different comp model from most firms (where title and pay aren't necessarily linked). Does anyone mind elaborating?

What would you do?
- You have your annual review with your manager
- They promote you up a level, you see your new shiny salary and title
- End meeting
- Get a DM to meet with manager the same week
- Get told that your title was “a mistake” and that you would keep the salary and but not the title. Due to a communication with upper leadership.
- 2 months later your title updates in Messaging channels and with HR with the leveled up title.

Anyone’s company still going through the hiring process up to Christmas? Was in the running for a role at a consultancy and had an interview scheduled for weeks. Suddenly got it cancelled with no explanation, when I reached out 2 days later the recruitment team gave little to no explanation besides ‘recruitment stopping for the year. Has left a v sour taste. I have other interviews lined up but this one was a favourite.

Never had this happened before, so just curious to know if this is normal?

3 Things to keep in mind which changing jobs:
1. Always ask dedicated budget for the job before you tell your expectations.

2. Always have atleast 2 weeks of gap before you join any company. You might not understand significance of that but just have a gap.

3. Always talk to people of team you will be joining before you accept offer or atleast before you join company.

Even with a 20lpa to 25lpa pay range, I feel we barely making ends meet. I am commuting in buses/autorickshaws these days. Eating at street vendors or cooking at home.
