Other important factors are:
*Culture - generally nice and humble people; employer cares about and supports employees (career growth, academic endeavours, personal issues,etc)
*Type of work - exposure to traditional strategy-type work (noting neither of above are strategy-houses); with sufficient variety in type of projects/work (contd)…

I’m currently working for a small technical consulting start-up firm. I make good money, have great benefits, and they seem very happy with the work I’m doing, so I know I could move up quickly. However, tech consulting is definitely not my dream job. I want to get into data analytics, and I have an offer from a big company to do just that. I’ve only been at my current company for about 8 months, but I don’t ever see myself loving this job. How do I know when it’s time to make a change?
