Anyone here work at Amex? Looking for a ref
Hey guys. I have been applying to Amex for the past 1 year. Tried applying on the portal, through referrals and even hr consultants reached me regarding the roles since I have a relevant profile. But not once have I been shortlisted or called for an interview. What could be the problem?
PS: I have gotten calls from every other company for the same profile but not amex. Can't be a problem with the profile. Seems something dicey which I'm not aware of.American Express
Amex offer-Manager-Risk Management.
Base: 30.5 LPA CTC: 36.5 LPA Experience: 5.2 yrs College: Tier 1
Current Profile: Senior Data Scientist
Amex people thoughts on this offer, as I have recently(4 months back) joined a startup with Base(33) and CTC(35.5) but not enjoying the work here. Amex brand tag and culture is good.
Hence, considering the offer, does this offer look good or is there any scope of improvement? Amex American Express

In addition to E3, you might also find L1 an option given your rank. Easiest way is to network across to KPMG US (don't rely on mobility doing it for you, have your partner's connect you with partners in your target office/unit) and progress it that way.
Did the same at Deloitte and nearly ended up moving to Torronto before Australia shut it's borders last year.
Going through mobility ties you into a secondment situation whereas if you DIY then you are free to resign the Australian firm and join the US member firm.
Probably looking at the job description would be one way. Most will mention if they require permanent US work authorization (gc/citizen), helps rule out postings.
Then for those who don’t list that, Google “[firm name here] + h1b”. You can see fillings on a firm basis, as well as position it was filed for. If the position you are trying for is in there, they probably do.
Someone posted a website months ago where you could see the volume of H1b requests by company…
Thanks for the replies. As I’m from Australia, I think an E-3 visa seems the most appropriate. I’m and AD working in cybersecurity - shout out if anyone knows of any roles with relocation support! In the meantime I’ll keep looking.
Probably worth doing the Google above to see who sponsors — even though E-3s are easier than H-1Bs, the employer still needs to sponsor. You can also look for alumni from Australian universities in your preferred US cities on LinkedIn to see which companies they work at — and I’m guessing many of them are on E-3 visas.
