Hey, worked as KYC Intern in broking, got promoted to KYC Executive in PMS — 2 years total. Left in April 2026 due to commute + limited growth.

Now job hunting and confused — is there real growth in KYC/back ops long term? Or should I use this experience to pivot into fintech, RegTech, or client servicing?

However, it is far away, and will require 1h+ train/car commute vs. 10 min biking right now. We are scared it will bite us back at some point, although COVID helped w/ remote working being a new norm. The project will be done 2024, so I hope to have a more relax job by then. For startup founders/people with a successful side project: How did you get the idea/inspiration for your business? I’m 3 months into a new job where I work for a global tech company, and I want to ask for a pay review from my manager at the 6 month mark when I pass probation.

Have you had to change your start date after accepting an offer and how did it go? I told them I need to give 30 day notice and so I set my start date (incorrectly) assuming the background check and drug screen would take a few days to clear. However, the drug screen is now taking over a week and a half (still not finished, maybe tomorrow). Apparently things are much slower due to staffing issues and labs are backed up. It’s cutting into my 30 day notice significantly. Thoughts?
