so every single major dip the last 4 months have been magnified by the use of leverage. If btc drops “naturally” by 5%, but liquidations are in the billions (which they have been), then that 5% drop turns into 15%. Over leveraged apes are literally screwing it up for all of us more than just themselves. I’ve been depressed for years now and this past week I lost a dog I’ve had for 15 years; he was one of the only bright spots in my life and I’ve just found it so hard to focus or motivate myself on anything after this. I genuinely feel like I’m at rock bottom, Idk if I’m crazy to feel that way bc of a dog but I used to be able to control this and put up a front but now my depression and anxiety are starting to leak into my work conversations completely unintentionally, I wish this would stop :(

After you are stealth laid off, other than job search, what do you do? I assume they won’t give you work and even if they do, you can politely decline? How do you feel about you are not progressing anymore and seeing other people progressing in their career? I have no intention to make partner, but still feel a bit stuck not doing that much.

I'm an introverted person, like to keep to myself, focus on work, spend the rest of my time on family, gym etc. I've been told that I need to work on my communication and client relationship building skills. any books I can read? I don't follow pop. culture anymore, no longer actively follow team sports (but sporty myself) as I consider it bread and circus for the masses and don't rly enjoy work drinks... Am I doomed? Recently, some of my family members are diagnosed with a rare diseases. When you look at the statistics, these are so many of these ‘rare’ conditions and cumulatively they are not rare.

These family members conditions made me reevaluate how I want to spend my life. I am 35 this year and I can’t decide if I should take great vacations with my kids or keep living a frugal life. Do you have the same dilemma?
