Hi All, A recruiter reached out to me for an analyst role at Global Markets Operations Division at Goldman Sachs in Dallas. It is part of the “Early Careers” program. They are creating a new team and I already did 3 interviews. Learning abt the role through the interviews bc job description was not yet created when the recruiter asked if I’d be interested. Any insights on the role/opportunity? I currently have 1 yoe consulting and Hoping to get mba in a few years. Trying to navigate career path

It’s an operations aka back office role. Depending on where you want your mba, but if it’s T15, it’s almost impossible from back office. They usually take Risk aka middle office or IB/Sales and Trading people. Stay away from the back office

I am also currently in the interview process for the Early Careers program, except for Marketing & Product Management in Chicago. I don’t think anyone really has insight on this since they started this program earlier this year, but I was told that resumes get put into a pool and then individual teams pick who they want to interview. So it seems like it’s very team-dependent.

Do the 3 interviews include the Super Day, or are you right before that stage?

Holy shit that is a lot of interviews. I did a hirevue and then a SQL assessment and now I’m just waiting. It’s been a while so I assume that I’m not moving on. I think you’ll be done after this super day! It would be cruel if they had you do any additional interviews after this one

Have you guys heard anything after your Superday interview? If yes, do you mind sharing the turnaround time ? I had my superday on 11/05, haven’t heard anything back. I interviewed for an Associate role in their Operations Data office division.

Hi everyone,

I’ve been working as a contract TAS for 6 months in a medical device company. I started part time and as it became busier/my trainer quit, I became full-time. I applied for the TA position through corporate and would like some insight. the company is short staffed and my site specifically does not have good TA retention. For the salary expectation, I put in 85k which is in the range. I’m currently at 64k which is below the minimum of the range. Is this realistic?

FL peoples: I signed a lease for a new place to start May 1 as my current landlord sold the unit I'm in. Turns out, the buyer wants to keep renting the unit and asked if I want to stay. Of course I want to stay. My new lease hasn't started so I'm pretty sure I can easily back out. For the new lease, I'm still pending full approval from a condo association as I have to do an in person interview. I have paid first months rent in advance. Is there anyway to get that money back?

I've become really jaded about consulting.
