I’d honestly say manager for most banks
Most banks go Analyst (0-3), AVP (2-5), VP (5-8), SVP (6-10), Director (8+), Managing Director (10+)
In some banks, SVP and Director title are at the same level
Here’s a quote: “CEO Lloyd Blankfein said at the time that Goldman had 12,000 vice presidents, or roughly 40 percent of the company”

Yea pretty much
Everyone is a VP in a bank. So they can make the customer feel better when they are getting screwed. Feel good factor :)
It means analyst for some banks, but depends on what group you’re in
Senior Consultant equivalent usually. Depends though.. sometimes could be Manager. My friend has 5 years of experience and he's a Tech VP. Usually in Banking, where employees persuade clients to close deals .. they don't get good response if their title is a Senior Analyst or Associate. VP sounds better.. given better importance
Thanks all for the quick response! Was going to apply to a vp of a process improvement position with a bank but saw it only required 5 yos of experience so I was curious about it. Thanks for the insight again.
For the most part VP aligns with manager
VP is such an inflated title.
