Does anybody have any advice when applying to postings with many applicants and getting noticed? The company I am interested in is Figma, and though I reached out to a few technical recruiters after applying through LinkedIn, I am wondering if there might be something more I could do that maybe Iām not thinking about. Also along those lines, if anybody here works for figma I would love the chance to connect
I've worked at the same engineering firm for 4 years. I'm currently making $161k with only a $750 bonus, but excellent vacation (4 weeks, cash out anytime, rolls over indefinitely), 45 hours a week. I have an interview with a recruiter at Guidehouse this week for a Technical Project Manager role. It seems to be focused in the government space and requires a security clearance. What sort of salary and benefits could I expect for this sort of role at Guidehouse?

At a high level, you're probably looking at 250-300k TC. 150-170k base, 15% bonus, rest stock.
That seems high for L4 PgM.
Comp generally isnāt talked about until after you pass HC.
Your YOE means probably L4. Assuming that:
Non tech or tech?
If the former, M1s base is high. Prob $15k less. If the latter, itās probably more accurate though still a little high.
Sign on bonus generally $20-30k
Non-tech and thank you both for your help Iād guess around 200-250k TC then
I don't think interview performance correlates with compensation as much as you think. Hiring Committee decides Hire/No-Hire based on interview performance, and that's it. Comp can be mostly influenced my competing offers, and the urgency to close the role.
