I got an email from a recruiter from PayPal about a position I didn’t apply for. How do I know that? Because on workday you can see all the jobs I applied for. I applied for one position in the company but got reply for another position I am not interested in. The recruiter wants to set up a phone interview? How would you react? Because I would love working there, but not in this position,
Would you say something during the phone call or before?

Hi folks,
I was holding an offer from Cognizant and on my LWD itself I got an offer from a product based company. I have decided to go there. I called my recruiter for my offer declination, he mentioned, they'll blacklist me. For what time can they blacklist me? Will they blacklist me forever?

No. Company usually gives ample opportunities for people to perform and everyone does. What is important to have a good attitude and zeal for learning and trying new things.
Definitely I will give my best
It's better if you don't consider CTS at this segment usually layoffs are common you can either choose ey or Infosys don't worry about wlb usually it depends on project and people around it don't let reviews fool you. Choose wisely
Better don't join infy..choose others...infy you won't get 100% VP
Don't worry, no one is perfect in these big companies too. Just go and trust yourself. Hardwork will get you where you want to.
Put a smile on your face, it's a pretty good package you have got my friend.
Yaa,from the day i started my career i had bad experiences that's why I am a bit scared. I will defiantly give my best
Don't worry in service based company you have ample time to learn just start preparing for that framework from now on.
Okk, meanwhile I am also working on sample proejcts
Is it true is Infosys offering very less hikes , who joined as lateral hires ?
They are offering max 8-10% hike on current CTC for lateral hires. Most of them not accepting
This is very normal, when you are trying to join a new company. Being nervous is ok.
If you have your basics clear, considering you are using pure Java, you should be good.
Spring boot is one easy framework, with lots of documentation.
Okk thanks for input
Hi mate... Right now am on process of interview with EY... can you please guide me for this please?
I'm from same tech and if you're good in java you don't have to think a lot about microservices experience. Just go through some good course online eg in28minutes and you'll be all set.
Yes I already did few sample projects and started giving interviews
Thank you all for reading my post and suggesting views🙏 I will definitely take my based on all your points
EY anytime over other 2. Their Hike is crazy.. Don't go for Infy over EY.
Okk thanks for info
Go with Infosys
Thanks for the suggestion
Infosys in hand salary will be less. Check it will have gratuity+pf+Infosys welfare trust
Okk will check , thanks for the input
Go with Infosys without any doubt
Okk thanks for input
Not cts
Okk, thanks for input
What position is offered by Infosys?
If you do not have any problem could you please tell what is your current CTC? And for which location you got these offers?
Join cts or ey , dnt go for infosys. In my opinion.
If you want to join for 1-1.5 years then you can consider Infosys otherwise go for EY.
Okk that is my plan actually
I have been in your shoes. 3.5 yoe and only 1 year of relevant experience in Java Springboot. I have crossed the probation period.
Workwise I need to put in extra efforts but no issues from client or EY side.
Okk thanks for sharing your view and situation
