Hi all, I am needing some help with a salary negotiation. I am trying to relocate to Pittsburgh area. I have 3.5 years of experiences now and getting offered between 80k-85k for base salary for a senior accountant or reporting analyst position. Does this sound about right? I get paid more right now (maybe becasue I am in Oil and Gad industry) but want to see what the market average look like in Pittsburgh.

In the HR discussion, we both agreed on 30L CTC (10% Variable) and 1L joining bonus. But later after 2-3 days when they need to release the offer, HR is saying they got the approval for 28L CTC(10% variable) and 2L joining bonus.

Should I take that offer and look for other options or straight forward reject the offer and then look for other options?

Also, according to this behaviour of the HR, is it good behaviour?

RANT: People re-writing a cw’s stuff has always been painful. These days it’s far more common than when I started. It’d be one thing if they upgraded the work. If I learned from it. If I genuinely seethed with envy over their wit w/that perfectly placed semi-colon. People can’t re-art direct stuff bc they don’t know the programs so they ask the ADs for changes.
