Thoughts on the new 10% COVID relief surcharge NYC restaurants are allowed to add to customers bills? Apparently the surcharge can continue until 90 days after the restaurant returns to full indoor dining capacity, which could be a very long time

Hello everyone I worked as a house remodeler before I got Covid now I am handyman/maintenance/property manager I would like an idea of what people are charging

So, the CDC removed the Covid guidelines. I’ve never had Covid. I’m afraid people will come into work not wearing a mask and be inconsiderate… ughhh so distracting and disgusting. I’m also at risk to develop complications. Not sure if I should talk to HR. Not even sure if I should ask for accommodations to continue being able to wfh at least most days of the week to reduce risk. Idkkkk 😩This is so unprecedented. I always wear my mask at work. I’m getting pressured to attend firm events as well

I'm accepting an offer with a new company... Start in early Aug. Senior Manager role, though in this company that equates to Manager at most consulting farms. They did not had hunt me. I came to them for the job.

I have COVID delayed vacations planned for the last week in August and the first week in October.

Should I just cancel one of them? Or should I at least put both on the table and see what they say? They're going to hire me either way, but I wonder if it's a bad start to ask for both.

Received an offer for equity research and IB, both in toronto. ER paying $120k base and my understanding is that bonus can be around 25-30%. IB is paying $105k base but likely higher bonus? Which one would u choose if you think you would be good at both

What consulting firms actually do marketing and brand strategy work?

Even without LinkedIn, I see a lot of people younger than me in much better roles. They started off with relevant jobs right out of college. I graduated in 2009 when the economy tanked and worked in retail for years before I was finally able to land in corporate. Does anybody else struggle with this as well? I’m constantly comparing myself to others who are younger than me.

Accenture employs 700,000+, Deloitte has 400,000+, EY/PWC/KPMG are all 250,000+. How can you not feel like just another employee ID #?

So what are some of the best boutique consultancies (with at least some scale, so let's say 250+ consultants) where you can feel like you actually make a difference? And the firms get the same level of respect as their larger counterparts?
