I’ve been in my current position (Bookkeeper) for 4 years now. I’m highly interested in taking the PHR, and I’m wondering if I would qualify for the 4 year HR professional job requirement to be eligible to test for the certificate. I work for a small business, therefore I do all the on boarding paperwork/payroll. Any advice is appreciated.

Deciding on a career path

I feel like my brain works like a consultant, and I would enjoy consulting, but I also looove all things finance & investing. While I don’t necessarily have extensive experience in the field (most of what I know is self taught, my major is accounting), I want to get involved in it somehow and learn more.

I currently work in audit, I’m not sure what exit opportunities are an option for me for the investing/finance industry. Feel like chances are are slim. Any advice?

Looking to exit from 195k base to a sales role base 140 + 40 in guaranteed bonus year 1 to make up for the lengthy sales cycle. I know in the long run total comp through equity and sales commission bonus can be much higher but having a hard time making the jump… mostly my ego to drop drastically in TCO the first year after spending all these years trying to increase base. Outside counsel has been prepping company witnesses for a trial in August. It is my subject area so I am supervising outside counsel. I did not, however, choose the counsel. He is doing a really awful job. Co counsel is better, but not great either. Higher ups love the firm… I do not want to micromanage, but I have genuine concerns about outside counsel’s ability to try this case. Do you see a 100% fit before you apply or go for the opportunity if you see the responsibilities meeting your expectation and know only like 60% of the expected or desired skills.

Can anyone help me with the tax implications on the bonus received . I got 2.5L bonus in this payroll and 56k tax was deducted at source. Now I’m on notice so I have to resign and return the gross amount that is 2.5L .. what happens to the tax I paid 56k ? Is that my loss ?

One of TOP MNC offered me 18 lpa . I got counter offer of 28 lpa from CG .
Today I called that TOP MNC same. They asked me to share screenshot - I shared . Now they are asking complete offer letter of CG but I denied as I feel this is not right to share docs.
