Have a 4 round loop interview for Sr. Product Manager at Amazon coming up through the MBA pathways program soon.
If I land it the trajectory of my life and that of my family changes but I'm starting to feel the pressure. I haven't had a lot of traction for job searching since I graduated in December so this is the best lead I have and I'm getting scared now.

Any tips on how to start and prepare my MBA Application? I don’t plan on applying till 2022 as I want to attend in 2023. What are things I can do to prepare now in order to have a strong application? Background: I’m aiming for HSW, M7, and top 15. I’m currently a Staff at EY within Business Consulting. I graduated from a Top 25 Business Undergrad - majoring in Finance and minor in Advertising with a 3.71 GPA. I want to pivot towards PM or Corporate Strategy in Tech, at Toyota, or Nike. TIA!

Most people would say the opposite. You get to know people better if there isn’t a fun city nearby, which is why Tuck is so tight knit.

Hey OP you’d actually want the opposite. Schools that are in college towns/not cities are best for building a close network. Poets and quants and some general research googling will help confirm. CBS has gotten an especially notorious reputation for having difficulties in building a really close group (not saying it is true, just the reputation it has compared to other M7).

I’m not saying you won’t have a close network if you go to CBS, just that compared to the other M7 it may take more work to do so.
I heard the opposite, schools in remote locations(Tuck, Cornell) both have tight knit groups because there is nothing else to do
I didn’t want to go to a big city school because of the exact reasoning you had- so I’d be closer to classmates. If you’re in a city I figured you’d still hang out a decent amount with other friends. At my school in a smaller town I knew I’d be focused 100% on bonding with my classmates. Having graduated, I think the small town = tighter community is true after comparing my experience to some of my friends who were at CBS, HBS, and Booth.
Curious how you came up with this assumption
OP - I’m with you. Would never want to attend Tuck for this reason
Yale does an amazing job at that. I got accepted there and the admissions goes above and beyond to make sure the students are bonding, networking, and more..
I unfortunately am not gonna go there bcz I received a lot of scholarship from a higher ranked school in a big city, but my heart still wants to be there.
