Is there an industry you were exposed to or learned a lot about while in your big4 role?
You could tailor your corp dev role targeting based on that and have better luck.
Otherwise, having deal experience (valuation, negotiation, and diligence) will be critical on your resume unless you’re aiming for an entry level role in a larger team.

Thanks this is helpful. I have valuation experience in diversified sectors and started my career in financial due diligence and M&A advisory. So I have seen different phases of the lifecycle. Eager to learn more, okay if I DM you.

I’m a junior litigation lawyer based in Windsor looking to lateral to corporate big law. I have been doing commercial litigation, tax litigation, and tax planning. I’ve done corporate reorganization, corporate structuring, rollovers so corporate would not be completely new to me. Your advice is greatly appreciated.

Service design seems a popular role in consulting in the past year or so, certainly seeing more grads go down this route. Is there much overlap with business analysis? When I’ve worked with service designers the output seems to be another version of a process map, are there other skills and experience needed? I’m wondering how easy a move would be from business analysis to service design...

Please help! I’m a CRC who manages Investigator- led clinical research projects and I want to transition to a PM role in industry (I would slightly prefer not a PM role in clinical trials since I don’t have clinical trial experience.) I’ve applied to PM roles at many biotech companies (e.g. Charles River, ICON, Paraxel) but only got 1 interview which didn’t work out. Which companies should I look to for an entry level PM role? Any good startups to consider? Anyone have any insight or advice?

Having a baby and looking for consulting exit opps. I’ve been in strategy consulting for two years and recently promoted to manager. All projects were in tech or LS. Prior to consulting I have 10 yrs of Pharma experience with a MS in Engineering (non-CS) and data science. Fluent in Python, Ruby and Java but never coded professionally. Spent several years in process engineering and then project management. Interested in tech or digital health. Any advice on companies, roles and levels?
