Hi all, I’m new to the freelance game so this may be a dumb question but how far in advance do you look for your next gig? My contract is up in December so I’m trying to game plan the best time to start really engaging.

What do I do?
Just switched to a gud org with gud perk,pay,project work but My boss is the epitome of a**h*** reasons-
Onboarded me on a huge project (12 phase proj) with no KT, only gave docs to read from.
He was handling this proj till phase 4 but has completely withdrawn out without proper transition.
I cannot make decisions and my decisions are overridden by him.
I have 2 yrs experience and it's now my onus to negotiate with PPL in VP,EVP position and also handle testing & dev team.

Media is by far my biggest weakness. Planning a transition over to client side in the next 1-2 years. What are the best resources (other than incessantly bothering my over taxed media team) to gain lower mid-tier knowledge. Really looking to develop a strong BS meter and ask intelligent questions in the future.

I am a Product owner and certified SAFe Product manager. Current organisation doesn’t have PM opportunities. Can I get a break in Product Management while switching to another company? Oh yes, I’m also an Insurance ( P&C ) expert. 11 yoe

Is being a radiation therapist a good career? I have a nutrition and exercise science bachelors degree and was thinking to do an associate’s in radiation therapy. Would I be able to do a bachelor’s in radiation therapy if I transfer over some of my credits? is this a career with good status?

What is private equity accounting like? I have seen people exit to PE accounting and job postings but don't work in financial services. I would imagine the pay is pretty solid but not too sure what the work and how the experience is viewee

Does great depth and specialization outweigh the value of a highly respected generalist degree?

Let’s talk speed reading. I’m a slow reader and listened to a podcast recently on speed reading. I’m intrigued. Who here speed reads? How did you learn those skills, and what types of documents do you speed read in practice? Friendly reminder folks- don’t work for Havas Health and You. They cut the freelancers hourly rates, again and made it so there’s no OT. The resource manager at HOV said if I couldn’t swing $80 an hour as an HCP copywriter, she’d have to find someone else. Good luck 👍🏻

Anyone know a mortgage broker that understands freelance? I’m struggling to get anyone to approve a loan since I started an S-Corp last year. Running into two years of business history / current salary. I’ve been freelancing for years.

I’m on my first big freelance project and could use some help. I was asked to estimate the number of days on project with limited information, but once I got into it, the bigger scope was revealed. This, along with delays from the client means it’s taking much longer to complete.
How do you navigate this type of situation?
