Any tips on how to start and prepare my MBA Application? I don’t plan on applying till 2022 as I want to attend in 2023. What are things I can do to prepare now in order to have a strong application? Background: I’m aiming for HSW, M7, and top 15. I’m currently a Staff at EY within Business Consulting. I graduated from a Top 25 Business Undergrad - majoring in Finance and minor in Advertising with a 3.71 GPA. I want to pivot towards PM or Corporate Strategy in Tech, at Toyota, or Nike. TIA!

Not as easy as you'd think. Personally, I'd keep trying to get into the role you want to be in. Product roles are in high demand, even internally, and very very hard to transfer.
Unless you're ok for it to be a 3-5yr plan to rotate into the role you are looking for.

@op - You never feel ready to apply to google. Even the people that breeze through the hiring process feel inadequate in the moment. Just apply and see what happens. I swear this process is not as hard as you think

Internal mobility is hard a f and it sets promo back. I agree with G1

The selling point is TC, comp growth and good WLB. Mobility exists but it’s not easy.
Last year was an anomaly too with reduced headcount due to C19

It really depends on what you where you want to transfer to and where you are starting.
For example - let's say you want to jump to Product.
If you are a generalist - its a hard jump. If you are in the security, data, networking specialty groups and want to transfer into a Security, Data, Networking product the jump is much easier.
That being said - you need about 2-3 years to build up the reputation to have the ability to jump.
