My mother is an alcoholic and no “forcing” ever worked on her. I recommend looking into Al-Anon
What’s Al anon
Go to Al anon. There's nothing you can do unless he wants to change.
"Alcoholics Anonymous is a program for people who want it, not people who need it."
Your Dad suffers from a delusion that alcohol isn't the problem, he quite literally does not think that at he needs to stop drinking with the same strong belief that tells him his name is "Steve." Nobody is going to convince him that his name is Earl any easier that they will say the right combination of words to get him to want to get sober.

I’m sorry you’re going through this. Like others have said, Al Anon or ACA (ACoA) could help you find some peace and comfort. We can never fix, control, or change the mind and behaviors of an addict/alcoholic - all we can do is recognize that their disease is also making us sick and that our sickness also needs to be treated.
