Hi Dear Fishes, I am a Ux/Ui designer with 2 yrs of exp, I've been looking for job since my company laid off, and I had to put my resignation, Now I'm serving notice period and looking for job, since november, and in finding it difficult to get even a single call from any company, I've tried applying to multiple companies expercting atleast a interview call first round. Dont know whats going on in the market. Waitinfg for recruiters to call is exhausting me and making me feel low. Please help!!!

Hi fishes, my friend recently had a bitter experience with Dish Network. So her profile was shortlisted and they asked few questions over email. It did take good 2hrs to answer and she replied back. HM said we are good to go for interview and sent an invite. On the day of interview nobody turned up, neither they gave an update later. She did follow up for a couple of days but no response. Is there any reason why this happens ? Me being in HR field felt this to be a little unprofessional.

So, I just fired my first employee as a manager and I'm heartbroken. He was a great, great person but after 6 months on a PIP he just wasn't cutting it skills-wise. I know he was the provider of the household and his wife didn't have a job since she was raising three young ones. Needless to say, I had to take off because I felt terrible, sick to my stomach. How do you deal with firing guilt? Is that a thing? I can't help but feeling like I did something wrong.

Just had an interview with Netflix and at some point I mentioned “GAFA” (even joking that it’s probably GAMA now) and completely forgot they’re in FAANG 😬

Will this be one of those moments I remember when going to bed for the rest of my life? Yes.

Got my MBB offer as an Exp Hire! A few insights from my case prep. I practiced ~10 cases solo using Case Coach videos. I'd watch the interviewer speak, pause the video, practice (speak out loud, ask questions, explain my approach, even time myself), then play to see what the candidate did, and evaluate myself for gaps.

I also learned the evaluation criteria and internalized the generic case frameworks.

I went through six rounds of interviews including putting together a 30 minute presentation which I presented to the whole team. The whole process took about six weeks. I turned down another lead position at a different company waiting. After all that they told me that hiring for this role was on hold until further notice.
