Hey guys! I got received an email from CITI bank stating they’re interested in interviewing me for a Senior Risk Analyst position. The first thing they asked what was my salary range. Does anyone here have a good idea how to flip the question back to the recruiting team/hiring manager, on what they’re cap is or just tell them the salary I’m looking for? If anyone knows the median salary for this position or something along those lines that would be helpful! Thanks fishbowl fam!
Interested to know since this is rarely done, but what is your salary/state/position (__ year associate, etc.)/practice area? I see salaries posted far too often without any context. Surely everyone on here isn’t biglaw in NYC, Miami, LA, etc. Where are all the normal folks at?
Has anyone jumped on the property ladder in London with their current salary, and how have you done it? Need advice!
Please vote for which you’d realistically / actually want (and why). Context is mid-30s for me, FYI. Either a) $800k total comp, but work 70-80 hrs a week and content / work you genuinely don’t care about, b) $500k and work you care about / want to do long term but still working ~70 hrs/wk, c) $300-350k work you care about and want to do long term, working 25-40 hrs/wk (so plenty of time for other hobbies, fam, etc). In all 3 (a,b,c) you’re not allowed to have another income stream / side gig.
I am going to have my first salary negotiation call in a while.. No idea what is asked or how to navigate. Any advice from the experienced folks here? Thank you
I received an offer for a HR Manager role. During the interview process I gave them a salary expectation of $120k , they offered me the job for $105 to start and $120 in 90days. Would you counter or accept?
Is this a good salary for a senior II leaving for industry? Its a senior accountant role for 100K in NYC
I just got out of college and figured now is the time to start getting ready for FIRE. I work for EY and my wife is a teacher, we are able to live within my salary only but we’re not quite sure what we should be doing. A little bit of debt (student loans, cars, and CC) and 10k in savings. What would you guys recommend?
I’ve been freelancing for about 7 years now and thinking about going back F/T because I’m hungry to learn again. I’m thinking going back in as an ACD. What’s the salary range of an ACD?
I make 120k a year and I’m planning on moving to NYC for a new job by the end of the year. I’m looking at apartments in the $2500 range. I’m sure there’s no real “normal,” but is this a reasonable monthly rent for my salary, at least by NYC standards? I only ask because where I currently am right now, I’d aim for cheaper, but of course NYC standards are different.
Any thoughts on Permira Ops Team? Comp range for Associate / how are they paid and viewed vs. Deal Team?

Any insights on the competitive compensation range for a Principal position with Infosys Consulting based out of NY, USA? Since I’m relocating, is there any relocation or signing bonus?
Crisis hit in Europe and our first response was to check market news to assess supply chain impacts, call our C-suite contacts and cook up a proposal to help save their business. I did that (to impress my boss), you did the same, and my leadership did the same. How superficial have we become? Sorry just ranting.
