I am an analytics professional having 7 years of experience in analytics. I am currently at Senior Consultant(Manager) role at EXL Analytics. I am interviewing for Bank of America, Hyderabad location for a position in Global Risk Analytics Team. However, the HR is not disclosing the designation and band of the opening. My current package is 24LPA. According, to my yoe and current package, what designation, band and salary range shall I ask for in the HR discussion round?

👉Just ask for it. Really, you would be surprised. Might be easier to switch to a new company and ask. I did that 3 years into my career.

And 🛑 wasting your time at a company that under-values you severely. Sometimes switching companies every 2 years or so will allow you to keep raising the bar for yourself.

Is this legal? My spouses company just decided to change their comp structure for account managers. It was base + comm, now it’s commission only but nothing changed, OT commission is the same, didn’t get more points, just took away the base pay and said work harder basically. So now they have to worker harder to get $50k they were already making. (Not a decision based on employee performance, they’ve been crushing it. I think the company is just trying to save money they overspent else where)

I need advice on how to approach a raise request.

I am a software sales representative in the manufacturing space. My starting salary was $85,000 in 2015 I did not receive a raise until I asked for one three years later in 2018. The raise was 5%. But they're saying that they'd discuss the offer only after the other company that I'm interviewing with has come up with an offer first. There's been a delay from HRs of the companies in a similar way. How do I urge them to send me the offer letter without sounding pushy? I had reached out to some of the HRs myself. Would that be too awkward if I accept & back out their offer?
