Just got another rejection... Is exiting to FAANG or MB really this hard? Trying to go tech.. or mbb, but not getting anywhere. I have 2 masters (mba, ms) from top schools, been in consulting for over 10 years, I am confident that I know my stuff well..but still I keep getting rejected. currently debating if i should work on the hill or accept an IB role. i feel like working on the hill is invaluable experience that could get me into IB but maybe i’m wrong? Which opportunity gives me best resume experience?

I’m on the Board of entity A (volunteer basis) and I’ll have an interview for a legal counsel position at entity B. Entity A and B have a partnership such that me working for entity B will create conflict of interest. Should I disclose my relationship with entity A during the initial interview with entity B’s hiring manager? If so, what should I say? I don’t want my volunteer job at entity A potentially jeopardizes my full-time job at entity B.

I’m currently a Grade 11 at Cisco. With the recent pay structure changes my annual comp will be $150k + 12% bonus. I live in a large metro area in the middle of the US. I just found out a new colleague was brought on at 20% higher salary than my current salary. (Have been w/ firm 1.5 years) She doesn’t have a 4-year degree (working on it). Has anyone else had a mentor (assigned to them by the Company) who seemed to have it out for you? I mean downright sabotage to make you look bad left and right. I didn’t realize it at first. She was fake friendly, but she was discrete too. Some of the executives thought she was amazing, but I had to clean up her work all the time. She wasn’t above me either on the chain of command. Later I found out she had tried for the exec assistant role and they didn’t choose her, they wanted me instead.

Hey! I’m new here and would like some input. I’ve been working in a new position for almost 5 months. In that time I’ve witnessed some unethical and lots of unprofessional behavior. I’ve been yelled at and berated by my coworker 3 separate times because of minor errors. I’m ready to quit. There are so many major issues in this company that I don’t know if I want to subject my mental health to this degree of toxicity. I just don’t know how to move forward from here.

I am in the process of finding administrative assistant interns from our local universities. In an effort to make my job opportunity appealing, I am asking everyone in this bowl about an appropriate job title. Is "Administrative Assistant" outdated or unappealing? I certainly don't want to mislead anyone on the job responsibilities, but I do want to avoid any potential negative stereotypes attached to that job title. Are there alternative titles that you find more appropriate for 2022?
