I was selected in the H1B lottery last year, and my petition was approved in August 2024. However, my current employer doesn’t have any available opportunities in the U.S., and according to leadership, there’s no plan to send me there anytime soon. My visa stamping hasn’t been done yet.

I wanted to check—can I apply to a different employer at this stage and have them initiate the H1B transfer

Just got introduced to this Telegram channel with some 80k folks fighting for visa slots in US consulates mainly in India. Things USCIS make us do. This can’t stoop any lower. What a terrible way of treating people.

Well I worked and got appreciated by the client , always exceeded expectations on clients side (have thank you's and appreciation on mail) . My rating is 3 stating "aapko ek hi saal hua h". Got opportunity for a global meeting to attend in Europe but my PM destroyed that opportunity for me. Past 3 days haven't worked a bit ,felt disappointed and am feeling depressed, it would have been my first abroad visit and the Visa is going to haunt me for the rest of my life.

Has anyone recently done visa stamping in India (Mumbai center) through Dropbox? My appointment is in 3 weeks and I heard of one occurrence in Mumbai where the candidate was delayed by 2 weeks (still waiting for his papers).

While applying for visa my company quoted 80K as compensation. Now they want to reduce it to 75K.
