I’m currently a Staff IT Auditor in South FL with 2.5 years of experience in ITGC, ITAC, RPA, CEUC, and SDLC testing.
I recently interviewed for a Senior role and met with the VP, Director, Manager, and Senior Manager.
I accidentally disclosed my current salary to the recruiter when asked (It’s significantly below market) and now I feel like they might be trying to lowball me for this new role. 😔
Is there any way I can turn this around or reposition myself before the offer stage?

I have got an offer letter from Morgan Stanley for the QA role in regulatory reporting. Currently I am in a BA role with 7 yrs experience. In MS they are giving a good hike (45%) plus joining bonus. Not sure at this stage should i switch from BA to QA role.

Most of the time we have to explain every detail multiple times and they still don’t understand what we’re doing. Working with headhunters that specialize in consulting outplacement: how do THEIR incentives work?

Like, I assume that they are paid based on the level of the candidate that they bring in, but how are their incentives ALIGNED? If you as the candidate get a higher comp package, do they get a higher placement fee? Or is it in their best interest to keep your comp within (i.e., below) a certain range?

I’m a former forensic scientist that left the field several years ago. I recently received a subpoena from a case I worked and suggested to DA to have evidence re-worked by the lab or stipulation. If I am required to testify (as an expert witness), I would need to book a flight, hotel, etc. My question is this: can I ask for my requested hourly rate, travel, and hotel to be covered when speaking with DA or is that “not how this works” as the investigator put it?

Reviewing a salary offer for a Benefits Manager position in Greensboro, NC industry is retail. Offer made of $95k with 18% bonus. I have 16 YOE, degree in Business, and PHR and Shrm certification. My husband just received a job offer on an opportunity he is really excited about. It would be great for his career and they are giving the 15% jump in base he asked for, however they won’t share what the target bonus amount would be. It’s an executive director position, so I would assume it’s a decent target bonus, but without that in writing it could honestly be a gift basket at the end of the year. Is it a red flag for them to not share this? His total comp could be less at this new job…

Had an interview today, for RN OnCall position. This is an extremely difficult position, but I bring not only a preference to work the hours they need but the experience and credentials to qualify for the upper range of the salary (RN, MSN, CHPN, 5 years hospice experience). Interviewing for Cyber Sec role. At very beginning they ask salary exp. I said usual way to postpone that question, and to figure out their range for role. On final interview and I mentioned 85-95k and they said it’s on the lower end for role…. Did I lowball myself?
