Use this time to expand your skills, learn from others in your company, and do some tutorials or something. You can prove your value in other ways than just the projects you do.
It's a bummer that you're stuck by yourself as a junior designer. You could learn a lot from someone with more experience.
Hey I appreciate your advice! And I totally agree that not having creative seniors around but myself is challenging. Although I have my marketing manager, he doesn't really care about the design inputs/outputs that I bring to the table as long as the job's done right based on what the client needs. Having somebody higher that actually does design can definitely skew me up my career.
Be proactive and create some assets for your own company and/or some of the top clients. Even if they aren’t used, you will get the practice, some portfolio pieces, and points for showing initiative.
I've done this and have been doing it ever since I started working with them. Which sucks because I don't get any recognition or credit for any of those work nor have they ever used it for our clients. It's kinda draining tbh... just don't know how to speak with my manager about it.
Find other freelance work and keep taking a pay check. Map out the career you want.
Thanks for your comment! This is actually what I'm trying to figure out

Also, if you haven’t done so, update your portfolio in that free time!
DO NOT work on your portfolio or freelance while you are at work. They’ll think you don’t care. When they catch you, your days are numbered. Every morning, check in with your bosses and ask to be put on projects. Offer to work on case studies or visuals for the website.
Honestly, with what they said above, I’d just do some extra projects on the side/ freelance. Mainly to get better and also something to fall back on if you end up getting cut. I do that right now with this political agency.

The first few months at my current job, I didn’t have much to do so I created my own work — research, learning, etc.
