Look, you’ll never know what better options are out there unless you try. As women, there’s always many doubts that come to mind. But to your doubts, it’s definitely possible to get a good company that honours these things about being a new mother etc. You just need to do some research on such companies with good policies and apply for those. Even if not, just keep trying until you find a company like that. You don’t HAVE to join the company that gives you an offer. You’re in full position to evaluate the offer, the company and their policies.
6yoe as Product Owner and 12lpa is not high. Start searching and you might actually find a lot of companies being supportive. Go for medium sized UK/ Europe based companies... Imo they focus on work life balance more compared to India/US based. Good luck!
Which company is this? When you joined after mat leave you should have set clear expectations around work responsibilities and your availability. Don't think twice about job change. There are good organizations that give importance to wlb.
Well my two cents on it
1. For any decent firm, new mom would not be a deterrent. If the company evaluates on basis of it, you can simply avoid such places.
2. You don't need to work 12 hours a day for good package. Depends a lot on organisation, team and role.
3. Unfortunately stressing on work life balance before you join can have negative connotations for interviewees. Would rather connect with current employees to gain perspective on it.
