Looking for advice on breaking into the L&E litigation field. I’m a rising third-year general litigation associate at a v10 law firm in NYC where I’ve gotten to work on a couple of L&E cases. My job search for L&E roles has been a bit of an uphill battle, because most of the roles require significant L&E experience. Would it be a bad idea to take a non-partner track role in an AmLaw100 firm’s L&E group in order to break into the field? What kinds of jobs would I be marketable for afterwards?

I was supportive of Lori when this virus first started but her actions since have dwindled my support of her. I don’t expect her to make every decision correct nor do we have to agree with all of them. I believe she should be correct around 75 percent of the time but I believe she is in the 50 percent range. What will be in-hand salary for 43L base component.

Interviewed for a sr. PM last Thursday. Was scheduled for 30min but we went to an hour and had a really good conversation. The questions I got asked I was told the answers were perfect by the hiring manager. I felt really good coming out of it but then followed up with an email thanking them for the time the next day and I never received a response or next steps. Am I thinking too much into it or is it not a good sign?

My Redfin agent recently quit with one day notice to start his own firm. He was the one behind my deal and did a lot of work and help with negotiation. However Redfin called me and said they put their top regional lead on transaction which is set to close in 10 days. I’m conflicted with what to do. As a buyer I know I can switch firms with seller’s consent and it won’t impact the deal, or will it? The agent said if I went with him he’s throw me an additional incentive to close with him.
