Those that make $150K+, how did you do it? I’m 27, I have an MBA in marketing and 5 years of experience with bidding, but am only making $75K. I want to break the six figure mark, but I don’t see many jobs in my area that pay that much. What’s a good industry to get into and how? I’d like to make enough to start investing in real estate to start generating passive income but can’t do that with my current salary.

I think firm is gonna come back with an offer at the bottom of my given range. Any chance I can negotiate to the higher end of my range? I know I screwed up and should’ve started it higher

I just got a job offer for an Entry Level Software Engineer at Boeing in Saint Louis. The salary is $82,000 with an $8,000 sign on bonus. I was hoping for an offer closer to 90k base and I don’t care too much for a sign on bonus. However, this is a lot more than what I’m making now, and would be my first SWE job. Should I counter? I want to switch and I have a very good offer with me. However everytime I think about resigning I get scared and I’ve this slight hope of something good happening in my current org. The culture and environment in my current org is very good. However I don’t enjoy the work I’m doing here. I don’t know what exactly holds me back from switching but this issue has started affecting my mental health.
