Potential offer at McK, experienced hire (17 YOE) coming in as EM in their solution practice. I was told the TC base + bonus was 180K.. Likely offer $180K base, 15% bonus, asked for sign on bonus - don’t know a number yet.. is this standard within the range? What else can you negotiate and how much? Relocation expenses? Any inputs/advice to negotiate better appreciated.. McKinsey & Company
Experiences on switching departments? I’m a mid level AD thinking that I would fit better a strategy team. But start over and be a junior again? Get a lower salary? 🙄 Would love to hear some stories 🙏🏻
My boss and mentor was recently laid off with the cuts made last week, and I have a gut feeling I’m next. I’ve tried my best to stay positive with my current agency, but it’s time to move on. I need a change of pace. Understand just about every shop is on a hiring freeze, but anyone need a strategist?
Both roles are within the big 4. Which service line has better exit ops? Consulting or audit?
How much is a % increase from EM to AP typically? Both base salary and total comp including bonus. Trying to negotiate an offer as Senior EM, if i stayed I should make AP next cycle. Is 30% bump overall reasonable?
Recently cleared a Google Program Manager role in US. Due to some recent personal events, I might need to move to UK from US. Can I ask my recruiter to consider me for any UK position? Or will I have to go through the whole interview process again?
Anyone here knows the salary level for Walmart x6 level? Was reached out by two recruiters for two different roles, both x6, but drastically different equity component ….. will appreciate insights from fish fam here
Reviews are coming up and I've been promised a title bump (we'll see). I'm currently interviewing at other agencies and while I'm not interested, should I use that in any salary negotiation?
How bad does it look to prospective employers to change jobs every 3 years? I've done this since college (12 years ago) and have tripled my salary as a result. Granted, I've switched between the same two companies each time, getting a big pay bump in the process. Now, the other company is looking at bringing me back again (3rd time). The pay bump won't be as big, but much better WLB, less travel, and I'll be able to do what I love. Opinions on this?
It feels like this bowl is mostly about jobs, salary etc.. let's change the topic for a bit. For those of you, that have been implementing Workday for a while, have seen the evolution of the UX.. Curious to hear some thoughts/quirks (positive/negative) on the some of the recent changes. I'll go first: The search bar in the middle and the annoying search suggestions/recent searches when navigating between pages, profile, config tasks... What are yours?
Why is there such a salary difference between M in US consulting vs M in UK consulting. 80k pounds is not same as $150k.
Is AFP certification worthwhile if going for an FP&A role? I didn’t even know it existed until today...
EY 🐠: Base comp range for M2 or M3 in EY SAP practice (Houston office). Have an interview coming up next week and rather not waste anyone’s time if EY base comp is lower than Accenture.
Got an offer for a job that will start in February of 2022. I’m planning on giving my 2 weeks soon and taking a 2-3 month break before the next position starts to just relax and take some time off. I’m young now (mid 20s) and I don’t think I’ll get a chance to take several months off between jobs again after this. Will this gap in employment be a potential issue down the road? I may be thinking too much into this, but would like some advice. TIA
S& salary for M1/2/3? And how does the bonus look? Is there a difference in pay across different groups/ verticals ?
Anyone hiring for healthcare consulting. Have a friends looking for a recommendation for. He's mostly done EMR work. He's also a MD. I tried internally but recruiter said were not hiring now.
I’ve been trying to leave as a senior but can’t find a chill company where I can work normal 9-6 hours and make a decent salary. Looking to work in FP&A or accounting. Currently make $100K and want to move to leave. Where do I go without taking a pay cut?
Been an Acquisition Analyst Contractor Support in Huntsville for the past 3 years but moved to Fort Walton area during Covid. I have no contacts here and am struggling to find a position that fits my skill set/experience. Open to full remote or onsite support. Any contacts or advice?
Recently, as you probably know, Dr. Seuss's estate chose to stop printing a few of his older books that had offensive racial stereotypes. There was huge backlash from white people, including teachers here, screaming "cancel culture!" Now we have a white guy who murdered eight Asians in custody, unharmed; while the police officer who killed an African American man for allegedly trying to pass a bad check is about to go on trial. Full disclosure: I'm white. But I'm still enraged by all this. You?
Anyone who’s interviewed with another firm before leaving the previous company - what was your experience?
There is a paralegal (not mine) in my firm that is making everyone miserable. She cries at her desk, complains about being overworked and is rude to the other paralegals, staff, and a couple of the attorneys. She is so disrespectful to me that I recently asked to work from home for a month (I am dealing with some other mental health issues and she is too much). My request was granted, and last Friday I was in the office to make sure several motions were filed properly. Continued in comment:
Currently at BCG, received offer from another MBB offering additional 12 months tenure credit for recognizing my prior-MBB experience. Jump?
I'm an ArtDir working in US with 3.5 yrs exp., US Advertising Masters degree, 2 years exp in India. I'm planning to move to Toronto this year. What's the salary range I can expect if I go client side?
I'll be joining Microsoft's FRP next year, and I'm trying to establish a plan for my LT goals. From reading various threads, the consistency seems to be consulting->FAANG. I've heard that mobility into a Corp Strat role is feasible - just a matter of networking. Since I'll be starting at Microsoft and Strategy is something of interest, can anyone share their experiences if they have done this or know someone who has? Wondering what role an M7 MBA may lead to as well (considering). TIA!
Anybody here in cyber security transformation? Or a similar technology transformation / strategy type role? I am just wondering more on what to expect in my next role, and if I will be picking up some useful knowledge or skills — or if I’ll be back to doing PMO for more money. Thanks in advance.
I feel like I’m in the twilight zone seeing all this turnover/layoffs and practitioners firm jumping
What are the benefits of having a platinum status with Enterprise? Currently a Gold status and see no real benefits

Have you participated in LeanIn Circles at your firm? Thoughts? Also, let's please keep the gender issue hating comments civil if they come at all
How’s A&M viewed as at MBB in comparison to Big 4 in terms of reputation, competitiveness? Does it increase chances to get an interview at MBB coming from A&M vs Big 4? Thanks all!
Does anyone know of an app where I can transfer spam calls that just goes "uh huh ... Yep ... Tell me more ... Let me find my credit card ... Hmmm ... Any other details ..."
Spouse just quit and not working and trying to figure out what to do with 401k. What are best options?
In discussions with an Infra fund ($1bn+AUM) to come across and lead their origination across the US (think director / VP type level). Any thoughts on Comp expectations at infra funds? I’d take a lower base for more carry/equity but really have no idea where to start. Have post graduate degree and 10 YOE in the infra space both consulting and operational.
