I am a Certified Pharmacy Technician, with 21 years of experience. I work at an independent pharmacy outside of Charlotte, NC. I make $18.75 an hour and had to fight/beg for that. I asked for a raise in April 2022 after three years with my company. Positive feedback since day one. Learned I was making less than peers at other asset managers in NYC with less experience (14 years). Latest conversation was with HR about how they calculate salaries. I was once at a dinner with a second year analyst, consultant, and partner, and the analyst said he planned on retiring by 30 and the partner and consultant laughed. Little did they know, the analyst owned his own home and rented all the rooms out so he payed no rent, never ate out, only grocery shopped, and very very rarely bought anything new. Can we still negotiate with company A Or B to get top up from X+3 to make a clear decision to choose over one other.
