You are earning decent man! Chill , visit your doctor and get a vitamin check up done, seems you need some vitamin D to light up your mood! Then join some sports club and be active, njoy your time ! Stop comparing with your peers and focus on yourself buddy!
I was happy at 5.3, i was happy at 15 , bro this package of yours is enough to put good food and shelter over you ... Develope a habbit to thank God for what you have rather than getting depressed about what you could possibly have. If in depression think of people loosing job during covid ...you way much better than that
8 years and 14 LPA. Feel better now?
I feel you
Bhai its really simple.
Take the following steps little by little step at a time.
You go work out 3-5 days a week
Socialise a little with local people. Meet your friends at least once over the weekend. Its the little things you are going to remember in your life
Forget about earning more, you will get something when the time is right
Learn to say no to extra overwork
Watch some self help videos on youtube
Work will be everywhere in every role. You need to optimize the repeating tasks you do everyday. Create checklists, SOPs, standardise the common excel sheets, make standard emails in word and use them as required by changing keywords(if u have to email alot)
Last thing. Write down your assets and liabilities, and with current salary how are your expenses divided and how much time will it take.
7 din chuti leke manali chala ja bro
You are earning a decent CTC, but you can make a plan to grow YOY through promotion/good increments and for that you need to work hard and don't lose focus. Also if your current job is very stressful then you might consider changing your company only after you find a similar CTC job but with relaxed KRA's so that you can take some time out for yourself and your family which is really necessary in my opinion.
4 years 8lpa (non tech) 🥲
Aapko depression nahi, Greed ki bimari lag gyi hai. Don't be greedy.
Packages doesn't define the person you are, stop slaving around for jobs. Job is always and is always meant to be just a small fraction of your life...looks at the larger picture of your life, you just need to spend quality time with your family and yourself especially. Stop comparing with people and you will be happy!
Getting 18 LPA at 6 YOE. Immensely happy and enjoying workload. If you are not happy at a place switch to some company that provides you good WLB.
Bhai you are getting 16LPA !!
Which is almost double amount for most of us!
Only suggestion, please change your peers.. because only sky is the limit bro, I am happy with half of your salary, your mindset will change once you change your peers.
Hope you will feel better soon 🙂
Bro if you can find time to express over fishbowl then certainly you have time for a 🍺. Go to a bowling alley and chill a little
I am currently in depression and don't know how to cope with it. GF got engaged to someone else and didn't give a f. Ctc 12 at 6 yoe in a not so good tech. Bad at social situations, not good looking, not sure what to do. If you are not as bad as me, be happy for whatever you have.
Just chill and relax yourself, all frustration will go away.
Hi Bro/Sis,
Honestly if the environment is not suited to you, it's best to upskill and leave the current job. I was in the same predicament as yours, except at 4.5 years my CTC is just 6.17 Lacs.
It's difficult keeping up with my debt and with my family's needs and finally I had the realisation that I want a job which allows me more financial freedom sans the night shifts that I take to get the extra 86k per year.
I'm upskilling. Not because I want change immediately but because I don't want to be the guy who lands into a job he is incapable of. I pray that you stay strong and good winds favour you with the aspirations you now have.
Take care.
Search for a company which is more enployee centric.
Which firm bruh?
I feel you!
Hello, can we please connect.
You can switch your job that way u can have better salary and also hopefully a better wlb
Will plan a switch post the appraisal cycle
Please seek professional help. Most organizations provide medical consultation with NDA. You can try that or a therapist close to where you live.
If the work is too much, do a job switch to a comparatively better environment. This info can be found out from peers and ex-colleagues, if not exact atleast something similar to suit your needs. Most importantly make time for hobbies and physical workout.
We all need a break from time to time.
Hey fellow Consultant,
Something I learnt was everyone has their own journey. Never compare them, comparisons will only get you limited pleasure and endless despair.
I'm not in the big 4 and only last year I became an Associate Consultant. My consultant journey has just begun and I don't earn half of what you do. Life isn't comfy but it's going ahead all the same.
Just contemplate what you need now.
Is it more time for yourself.
Is it more salary (because your needs are outclassing your salary)
Is it a better project
Is it the type of work you do
Think. Reflect and take action.
Switching because you earn less than your peers has a good chance of you making a decision that puts you in a worse position than what you have right now.
Hang in there buddy. Seek help if needed and stay strong. Do not dwell on past and do not compare with others. You are doing great and you can do this. Try to find a job which give you wlb. Even if the package is less your priority should be your mental health. Stay strong!
You need to stop comparing and everything will seem ok to you.
Hi, I would suggest you start therapy, it has really helped me :) and yes, you are doing much better than most people, but you’ll have to stop basing your worth and self esteem on just on the pay you get, you bring much more to the table. You will have to recognise that.
