I am Offered 29.5fixed by PwC for SA (L2). Currently on 25fixed. Should I join ? In terms of WLB.! My current employer on fishbowl shows Deloitte but have left Deloitte a year back. Currently in a firm with good WLB but PWFH is a big win for me that PwC is offering.
Any guidance or fist hand experience sharing is highly appreciated.

You are earning decent man! Chill , visit your doctor and get a vitamin check up done, seems you need some vitamin D to light up your mood! Then join some sports club and be active, njoy your time ! Stop comparing with your peers and focus on yourself buddy!
I was happy at 5.3, i was happy at 15 , bro this package of yours is enough to put good food and shelter over you ... Develope a habbit to thank God for what you have rather than getting depressed about what you could possibly have. If in depression think of people loosing job during covid ...you way much better than that
8 years and 14 LPA. Feel better now?
I feel you
Work and package is not everything. There are many things in life which are important. Even if you reach that desired salary as per your YOE, it still wouldn’t make you happy, trust me. I know this from first hand experience. We keep on chasing these meaningless things our entire life never caring about the little things which are the most important for eternal happiness.
When you lose everything important to you, chasing that number and look around and find that there is nothing but a void inside of you, it will not be pretty.
I also believe that money’s presence can’t give you happiness, but the absence of it can definitely bring you unhappiness, so don’t quit your job since you need the financial support, just cut down on your load, big fours are providing compressed work weeks, or flexible work with pay cut, try it.
Thanks!
Sad news is you are crying post getting 15+ lpa.. I have seeing married folks having less than 6 lpa with 8 YOE in same organisation (Cognizant) in the field of Manual testing. Even her rank has just increased to Associate till date. If you are going to question her quality of work- she has received straight 2nd rating for last 7 yrs, no complains, qualifications : PGDM ( distance) and BCA. She has tried to apply multiple times in other roles in various companies, none responded. Think about the anxiety she has vs you? Pls think in sane mind before posting such thing here or anywhere. Always think there are people earning way lesser than you.
You guys are getting paid ? First year intern here
Plot twist : he is here to depress others with his CTC
Bro, life is much more than CTC
So true 😂
Am going to Himalayas, feel free to join
+ Get your thyroid levels checked.
Which company are you working in? EY does not pay Associate Consultant with 4.5 YOE 16lpa. 🥲
Depends on your previous salary, tech stack and negotiation skills
Chota baccha h kya!!, lollipop bhi chahiye aur icecream bhi.
Take sm time off and you are earning well dude just stop cribbing and spending time here on fishbowl looking salary packages which are not even 1% of the world out there.
You are good and blessed if you have your family and earning enough to feed them well.
The amount of people triggered on this post is amazing 😁 . Wonder how you all feel when you hear a fresher getting 1 crore , 1.7 crore package 😀
I just don't care when I hear that someone has got 1cr+ CTC package.
Being fully aware that I need to make myself better every day to improve my CTC YOY.
Bhai shadi krle sab sahi hojaiga 😂😂😂
Guyzz Bhai apna CTC batana tha or kuch nai🤣🤣🤣
I'm just a kid in the corporate world(not even 2 months😂), but I'd sincerely request you to take care of your mental health. It should one of the top most priority for each and everyone.
I have a few friends who have suffered a lot from depression and anxiety. It really hurts.
I'd suggest, speak with someone who's compassionate about you(family, friend, colleague, stranger), try to seek professional help.
I can suggest you a few things. Watch some comedy movies, try to kick start a hobby(I like to sketch whenever I feel anxious, really helps), speak with old friends, basically fun stuffs.
Hope it helps. 🖤
Allow me to share my experience as have gone through similar emotions--work pressure+ rotational working hours+ no Indian holidays + Salary is half of what you are earning but in this entire journey I have learnt
1) Never ever compare yourself with anyone
2) Switching job is one of the option but until and unless you are not in your senses you won't be able to apply for jobs or even appear for the interviews or let's say even you appear for the interview you won't be able to give your 100%
So this is the internal battle that you have to win, go for a walk, do some exercise, keep reminding yourself that you are capable enough and you can do better
Pay gratitude for all the things you have
With all the bloated salaries few are getting in the market others are suffering on their self worth.
9 yoe and 16
7.5yrs and 15Lpa, do you feel good now? I don't give a damn neither about the people nor about the relatives. Get out of that rut, and get rid of this nonsense about being obsessed with comparisons. If this is your thinking you won't be happy even with 30lpa, and people will always have something to say.
Hey,
It is sort of trap, no matter how much you earn you always want more.
Taking it as a motivation to grow is fine, but overthinking on this making your life vulnerable is not good.
Above all, do you like what you are doing?
If not, probably that's the reason. You feel depressed.
I would suggest talk to friend or family.
If your job is toxic, quit or switch.
Not everyone can follow there passion, I guess.
But do something which gives you happiness, it is very important.
4 yrs and 11 LPA..I shouldn't probably exist
Life can't be all about work and Ctc and comparing it with others. Yes, it has to be a top priority and it's such a mess today that we can't leave our job because of financial requirements. I mean we all could use a vacation trip or two right. And If you can arrange, please have a trip - 2-3 days only but change the scenery.
Further more, try to fill your days with small things that you really like, exercising elevates my mood specially- boxing, I meditate and the best one Is I write in a journal/diary, I watch anime, movies, meet my friends, cook, etc.
There has to be things for you too.
And my personal suggestion is that you gotta have something to look forward, to learn and master something- like I am learning Data Science, stock market, human behaviour and psychology and it's fun.
Not to say that I have figured it out or something, I mean we are all struggling and I have a long way to go. But don't worry we got this. You got this!
Happiness is nothing but state of mind. 80% people in India make less than 10k. Congrats you are in top 20%
You need to find out why you are in depression buddy
1. Because of salary- you can always get more salary in future
2. Because of work life balance - talk to your manager, HR and learn some time management problem will get resolved
3 spends some time with family without laptop, mobile, wifi.. ask them what is going on.
4 most important: ask for help; if you need help ask for it from your friends, family, colleagues.
Stay in depression will make you sick. Thanks for reading
You seem to be a very confused individual . In the first instance, you write you don't have time for family, friends and in the second instance you write I believe my CTC is quite low.
Sort it out first, what's your actual problem i.e. don't have time for social activities or thinking about CTC only.
I advise, please start physical activities including gym, yoga , running, believe me this will be helpful in any type of stress.
