I recently left 10 years of agency (a mix of PR and ad, 5 years at my last shop) for a director role client side. I left agency because I was sick of the clients I didn’t care about, and if I’m being honest, the grind that’s always glamorized. The client side role was my dream company (so I thought), and it has turned out to be the most unbelievably boring move I’ve ever made. The culture is brutal, the pace dead slow. I’ve been there 8 months and feeling so lost. Any perspective or advice?

I realized 2015 I earned more money in my career than I ever have and sadly I never recovered after I was let go. 5 years later I still earn less but I love my job and love that it took me to a different city with its unique challenges. Took me a long time to be happy with this. Thought I’d share in case anyone else has similar career stories ♥️
