The work I do now is very different and much more technical; however, the skills are pretty translatable. Could anyone shed any insight as to the work being done in this field? If you start as a Program Manager, how/when do you begin to advise people as a people lead? I’ve heard Program Managers are not people leads. I’m a CPA and originally got into this for a stable / interesting job, but in the long-term I’d like to do something that either influences drafting of tax legislation or helps the public (however naive that may sound).
