Due to obvious conditions my comp for the calendar year (salary+bonus) is back to 2017 levels although my overall sales are more than double and 1/3 less total comp than last year. It seems like comp opportunity is always decreasing during good times (I get it) but when it comes to adjusting during bad times, nothing was done. Is this normal for industry sales?

Senior engineer making 135k and I was offered a promotion to engineering manager after completing a development plan. Near the end of the plan and I expect compensation talks to start soon. Based on some research around Boston and my role in the company, I feel 165k plus 10-15% bonus is fair. Nonetheless, first time going through something like this and asking for thoughts and comments. I have relieving letter but no experience letter from one of my previous employer where I worked for 3 months

Fir the new company,third party BGV is not considering relieving letter and pay slips from this employer. They are asking for experience letter only and without that BGV would be not be able to proceed.
I have already requested my previous employer to share the experience letter but they have not reverted yet.
