Hi Fishies, I got offer at Infosys for 9.5 LPA and HCL Technologies for 10.5 LPA. My Experience is 2 years and 10 Months. Applied for data engineer role. Tech Stack is Python, SQL, Spark, Hadoop and having Good Experience in Google Cloud. Current CTC is 6 LPA at Cognizant. Even though I am getting 3×YOE already I feel I am getting below the market level for Data Engineer role. What you guys think? please guide how do I approach from here. I have 40 days of NP. I know that some other associates at my level are approximately 30% behind other associates in hours on a month to month basis. Yet all of these associates say they are “at capacity”, and myself and another associate still end up being assigned work instead of them. How do we handle this? For reference, all associates are around the firms minimum requirement, it’s just that a few of us are 30+% over and it is leading to burnout.

In big law going on 6 years and I’ve always met my hours, but lately, cannot get enough work to keep busy. It’s been slow for some time, but I didn’t notice because I was working on matters in other offices. Is it time to move on? Are people really going to be laid off for not hitting hrs?
