I'm seeking expert advice on switching domains. I currently have 5 years of experience in tech support, primarily dealing with Microsoft 365 and Azure, and I'm considering a career change to a DevOps role. Is it possible for me to transition into a DevOps role? If so, will I be considered a fresher, or could my existing knowledge in Devops and experience qualify me for an experienced DevOps position? I just got a new job, but it's not what I expected. I was expecting a career opportunity and a chance to learn and grow in my field, but instead I'm stuck doing the same thing as before, just from home.

For those of you who made the switch to in house/corporate law, what was your experience like? Did you have to take a lower position to gain the experience or were you able to argue that your soft skills were transferable to in house? I’m currently working in insurance customer service at an agency. I work in the mortgage department assisting w mortgage changes , payments etc. I’ve been thinking about becoming a claims adjuster most likely for property damage . Is it worth it ??? I hear a lot of talk about how claims adjusting is a lot of work and very demanding but I think my current position has prepared me for the challenge. What are some good companies I maybe should apply for after getting my license?

If I got a manager for employment claims’ position is it hard to pivot to an associate counsel role etc? What do you think the main difference between the two are? Is it a good position for a stepping stone to in house counsel?

Is it worth leaving big law for a FAANG job? Probably a $50k pay cut plus lose the partner track option for future. I'm probably 3 years away from making partner. Have a friend there already. Heard work life balance is better but comp not as good and lower ceiling. Thoughts?
