I was just offered a CUNY role. The title is Higher Education Assistant. According to Glassdoor, the average annual pay for that role is $83,418. However, I was offered $62,500. I requested for the minimum annual salary to be 75k. Does anyone have experience navigating the CUNY system and their pay?

Sounds like you are already massively underpaid to be a Director title making anything less than 100K in today’s economy.
Coach
Idk where you live but you are underpaid.
Start looking. Do research and figure out your worth.
Time for a big raise! You have the title already, use it to your advantage and find an employer that values you.
I live in an area with an average income of 80,000 for this title, the company I work for is controlled by the county so it’s local county salary.
In addition to asking for more $$ ask for the tools to do your job! Since you're crushing it on the marketing side they're probably not prioritizing the sales side of your job (the downfall of doing well sometimes 🙄) Explain to them that you need these tools to do your job and grow into the full scope of your job, and that you feel it's also holding you back in terms of earnings too.
Good luck !
I was making more than that out of college and was still seriously underpaid. 10 yoe, director title, marketing experience. If I were you, I'd be applying for roles in different (bigger) companies. Make sure you research the companies' compensation and apply for something within that range. $150k is not too big for a director title unless if your title is inflated.
I agree with the previous posters. Director title alone should get you in the mid 100k range. I feel like I low balled myself because of my previous organization. Ask for more and definitely present your facts.
