Hi guys, this is my first post. I need serious help with my career ride. Im 19 studying B.com. I live in a small city with no job opportunities. And i have celiac so moving out is hard. i want good internship and job opportunities but im very confused about where and how to start. I am intrested in Business Analyst field but feel like with my celiac I'll hardly get a job. Can u all please suggest what should I do? Should i even focus on this field or look for something else?

Summer intern at BCG. I've been told by a few people that you need to spend your first few cases "earning your stripes" to gain staffing optionality or be servile/loyal to a pyramid to gain access to the cooler case work within that PA. It's seemed particularly emphasized at times.

A friend is considering deferring an offer (stem PhD) for 1 year straight out of undergrad to work in NY, either in a research institution or a biotech. She does not have any real work experience outside of her lab (3 years) and an adjacent internship. Another factor is she is just generally feeling burnt out on school after the last few years.
