What is everyone’s unhealthy habit they just refuse to shake? Mine is that if I see chips and queso on a menu I am 100% ordering it. If it is queso with chorizo I might as well order two servings. It brings me so much joy to just eat a chip covered in cheese 😂

New to Toronto, moved to the west end of town/ just past - in Etobicoke. I celebrate my 40th a few days after NYE/NYD - would love some recommendations on moderately priced but nice ambiance restaurants for myself + husband, and my extended family. I am so tired of TV shows glamorizing prison life. It's not pretty, it's not nice, it's something rational humans should avoid in their lives.

What are some easy to make, low stress holiday meals for a school holiday staff party? I was "volunteered" by our principal to set it up this year (🙄). HR is scheduling the interviews without checking time with me. One interview was scheduled and then it was rescheduled to a different time at last minute. I wasn't available at that time so I mailed the HR for a different slot. They again scheduled it for a later date without checking the time with me.

I’m 25 and have found a duplex I’m considering purchasing as a rental property. Planning on renting both units and have the cash to make the down payment without an issue. My cash flow analysis has a payback period of 3 years for my down payment and a 13 year payback period for the whole investment. I think financially it makes sense. My question is, is it realistic for a 25 year old young professional to handle dealing with all the extra curricular’s that come with owning a rental property ?

I’ve only slept with one person, my wife. I have not openly shared this with anyone because there’s a stigma that I “settled” or I don’t have numbers on the board like a man should. I’m not overly religious, so that was never a driver in the equation. I admit, I do think about the “what if” every once in awhile but I’m honestly getting to the age where I feel I’m beyond my prime anyhow.

I’ll start - I’m an advisor in Wealth Management with TC of $70k, 3 YOE and no side hustle. Among other things, rent just jumped from $2500 to $3700 for 2 bedroom and areas were looking at. So, this is a little awkward, but I recently moved to SD for a fresh start, and honestly, I love this city. My problem is I have been more of a homebody since I moved here and I'm a little intimidated to go out and meet people because I don't feel like I fit in here. I am overweight and this city is full of active, and attractive people. I guess I am wondering what my experience would be if I got out more? I feel like people look at me when I'm in public because I stand out due to my size.
