Hi I have 1 year experience in SAP Fico in capgemini and have ctc of 4.25 lakhs. I cleared two technical rounda where deep domain related questions were asked and it seems interview went very well and told I be getting Hr call for further process. Personal anecdote- I was retained with a good annual increment and promotion increment last year. This year inspite of doing the best and most work I've personally done in my tenure, I was given a rating of 3 on 5, since my boss had to de-prioritise me for this year's hikes. I find the entire thing extremely unfair and feel like this normalisation is a punishment for last year's retention perks. This might/might not be an industry/org practice but never would I ever risk it again. I'm looking for a switch, will take the switch and might circle back to my org few years down the line.
If circumstances have made me think of a switch, why ignore it and stay back.

It also gives you more leverage when you try switching again

If your new offer fits in your band, then they might as well give you an off-cycle increment and if it doesn't then they will start your PA and ask you to do an industry badge so as to make a case for your band progression. Workday will start reflecting your new salary w.e.f 1st October.
If they do not start your PA, then start looking for other opportunities. You're not getting a promotion.
